RESEARCH

My thesis work focuses on the effects of pesticides on a specialist bird of prey of agroecosystems, the Montagu's Harrier (Circus pygargus). More specifically, I am studying the patterns of contamination of chicks by multiple pesticides (insecticides, fungicides and herbicides) and the factors influencing their levels of contamination. Through the study of multiple life-history traits (physiology, morphology, behaviour), I am interested in the effects of these pesticide cocktails on the overall health of chicks.

More broadly, my research encompasses the impacts of human activities on birds in natura.
